Vancouver, BC; November 18, 2010 – Streetohome Foundation’s 10-year goal of creating 2,000 new homes for Vancouver’s most vulnerable citizens has come even closer to reality with today’s announcement of a $5 million gift from Goldcorp. This major contribution to Streetohome’s $26.5 million capital campaign will help build more than 1,000 new housing units in the next three years.

Goldcorp is committed to making a positive difference in the communities and countries where they are located, seeking to improve social, environmental and economic circumstances.

Through the campaign, $20 million has been committed to developing 1,006 new supported housing units in partnership with the City of Vancouver, Province of BC, and a number of not-for-profit service providers.
