NWWC is seeking an enthusiastic individual, dedicated to making a difference in our community, who enjoys a challenging and rewarding environment.
The project coordinator position is a temporary (12 months) full time position and NWWC is the employer of record. The position will be located in Vancouver and the incumbent will work out of the office of Streetohome Foundation. There will be a matrix reporting structure. The primary reporting relationship will be to the Executive Director of NWWC with secondary reporting to Streetohome Foundation’s CEO and the CEO of Pacifica Treatment Centre Society.
Streetohome developed the original Addiction Recovery Community (ARC) business case, which has been adapted by NWWC. The key deliverable will involve the development of NWWC’s ARC model in Pouce Coupe, B.C. This will entail working closely with NWWC, funders and a housing consultant to develop a cost-effective construction and operations project plan. The ARC model in Pouce Coupe can adapt best practices from the construction, functional space planning, operational staffing & training, policies & procedures, data measurement protocols and outcomes achieved by a first-generation ARC model under development in Vancouver. The incumbent will participate in a digital Community of Practice that facilitates sharing between organizations that are at different stages of ARC implementation. Pacifica is at the earliest stage of conducting due diligence and will benefit from early planning support by the incumbent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing regular, high quality, substantive project status updates that can be shared with project partners (e.g., BC Housing, First Nations Health Authority, Community Action Initiative, Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions) as appropriate.
