Face the World Foundation Announces Major Donation to Streetohome Foundation
“On behalf of the directors of Face the World Foundation, I am pleased to donate $500,000.00 to the Streetohome Foundation. This will assist them in building the more than 1000 homes for British Columbians who now cannot find a safe, permanent place for themselves and their families to live and are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless,” said Cohen.
Streetohome welcomes At Home/Chez Soi participants to their new home
Streetohome Foundation was proud to participate in a community open house of the At Home/Chez Soi project today, in partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada and Portland Hotel Society. Streetohome Foundation is making a significant step forward in helping our community to break the cycle of homelessness, with the launch today of a $26.5 million campaign toward creating new supportive housing in Vancouver.
Streetohome Foundation contributes $750,000
Streetohome Foundation officially launched today and gave $750,000 in private funding to projects that address homelessness. The Foundation’s aim is to help ensure that, by 2015, people who are homeless in Vancouver have access to safe, decent, affordable housing and support services.
