Streetohome releases Want2 app to help people navigate homelessness supports in Vancouver

Many individuals know what they’d like to focus on to improve their situations, but don’t know how to start or what supports are available to help them. Streetohome has developed a mobile and web app to build on the success of the original Life Intentions Action Planner paper tool, which helps individuals navigate Vancouver-based, free supports while reducing the stigma associated with homelessness.

May 13th, 2019 marked the 36th year of the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards. More than 1,300 guests and volunteers gathered at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver to honour this year’s inspiring nominees and their achievements.

Coast Capital Savings contributes $100,000 to youth support recovery homes

Streetohome Foundation is pleased to announce a $100,000 financial contribution from Coast Capital Savings in support of youth at risk of homelessness. The generous gift is designated towards two youth recovery homes run by Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS), Sequoia House and Alder House, in the City of Vancouver. The new homes will help prevent homelessness among youth, as well as support and empower youth on their journey to addiction recovery and independence.
