The opportunity to address mental health issues while living in safe housing greatly increases an individual’s chances of achieving stability and independence. In partnership with the Portland Hotel Society, the Province of BC and the City of Vancouver, Streetohome committed $20 million to develop eight city sites, including this 139 unit project. 

At 111 Princess, tenants receive on-site life skills programs such as links to community health services, education and training; community kitchens, nutritional information and basic meal preparation; money management, budgeting and shopping; and housekeeping, exercise and self-care. 

Construction began in October 2012 and the building opened for tenants in 2014.
