Why Karen Volunteers

When Streetohome needed expert help in IT and web design in 2017, Karen Ott, who was working as the Senior Business Analyst and Operations Lead at Colliers International at the time, stepped up and took the lead on the redesign of our website.

Our story and mission resonated, and Sarah made Streetohome her charity of choice.

Knowing that Indigenous people are over-represented within Vancouver’s homeless population, we are committed to addressing the underlying structural causes of inequity by filling gaps within the homelessness services system, and brokering and leveraging new funding, innovative ideas, and opportunities to implement sustainable solutions.
